«MASTERS» TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT RULES

1. GENERAL

1.1 The Regulations are addressed to all participants of the tournaments Masters carried out by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA" (hereinafter referred to as "Participant").

1.2 The Regulations define the conditions of participation and the rules of behavior of tournament participants, including in particular provisions regulating:

2. OBJECTIVES AND TASKS

2.1 Selection of the best players.

2.2 Popularization of table tennis.

2.3 Improving the skills of players.

2.4 Identification of sports talents.

2.5 Promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

3. TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT

3.1 The management and running of the tournaments indicated in point four of the Regulations is carried out by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA" with its registered office in Poland, Glowna str. 1, Rynia 05-126, using the KRS number: 0001022588, VAT: 9522239006, REGON: 524753840 (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer).

3.2 Players, coaches and other participants are obliged to comply with these Regulations in full, while maintaining discipline, respect for opponents, judges and spectators.

3.3 Competitors are required to sign and comply with the declaration of FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA" indicated in Appendix No. 1 to the Regulations.

4. DATE AND PLACE OF TOURNAMENTS

4.1 Tournaments are held from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "Tournament", "Competition").

4.2 The following is indicated as the place of holding the Tournaments: Poland, Glowna str. 1, 05-126 Rynia.

5. FINANCING TERMS

5.1 Tournaments are financed by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA".

5.2 Players are not required to pay any fees for participation in the Tournaments.

5.3 Competitors bear the costs related to participation in the Competition, in particular, such as the purchase of sports equipment or insurance.

6. TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS

6.1 Tournament dates are announced in the mass media. In particular, it can be radio, television, press or the Internet.

6.2 Anyone who is over 18 and meets the conditions set out in the Regulations may participate in the Tournament.

6.3 Registration is possible in any way, however, for technical reasons, the Organizer recommends registering for the tournament via the website https://masterspl.com via electronic registration.

6.4 A person authorized to participate in the Tournament is a person who has received confirmation of participation via text message or WhatsApp on the number 668 426 995.

6.5 If a competitor resigns from the tournament, the Organizer may appoint a new tournament participant.

6.6 Starting a competitor in the Tournament is tantamount to his consent to comply with the rules set out in these Regulations.

6.7 Participants of the Tournament must have with them appropriate clothes and sports equipment as well as a document confirming their identity.

7. COURSE OF THE TOURNAMENT

7.1 The tournaments are held in the following categories, which depend on the ranking of the Participants: Superleague, League A, League B, League C, Women's League A, Women's League B.

7.2 The tournament may take place at any time from Monday to Sunday.

7.3 The tournaments are played in accordance with the table tennis rules approved by the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation).

7.4 The Tournament is attended by 4 Competitors from each group indicated in point 7 of the Regulations.

7.5 Tournaments consist of the following stages:
Stage 1 - group stage, in which the players play in the "round-robin" system, and the place of the players in the group stage is determined by the sum of the points scored according to the following system: victory = 2 points, loss = 1 point, technical defeat = 0 points (e.g. injury, walkover, disqualification, etc.).

In the event of a tie between two or more Competitors, the Competitor's place in the group stage depends on the following criteria:

     number of sets won;
     difference between won and lost sets;
     number of points scored;
     difference between won and lost balls;
     the results of the personal meeting of the compared players (only when comparing two players);

Stage 2 - Semi-Finals where pairs are formed based on the results of the group stage as follows: 1st Place Competitor plays the 4th Place Competitor and 2nd Place Competitor plays the 3rd Place Competitor.

Stage 3 - final and match for 3rd place between the losers of the semi-finals.

7.6 The match is played until 4 sets are won by one of the players.

7.7 In case of disqualification, removal or resignation of a player, the tournament continues. In the event of resignation by a competitor, the points scored by him are taken into account. In the event of disqualification, etc., the points are forfeited and do not contribute to the distribution of final places. The tournament can be continued by three players.

7.8 In the event of passive play by a player participating in a tournament, such as losing one and/or several games with a score of 4-0, the tournament organizers may disqualify the player. The prize money for the player disqualified in this case will be paid only for the matches played.

8. AWARDS FOR WINNERS

8.1 In each tournament, there is a pool of prizes to be won, the size, method of awarding and division among the Participants will be determined by the Organizer within 7 days at the latest before the start of a specific tournament.

8.2 The date of entitlement to a prize is considered to be the date on which the official winners are announced or the date on which the Participant is notified of the victory.

8.3 The person entitled to receive the prize is obliged to collect it within 14 days of obtaining the right to it, unless the Organizer specifies a different date individually for a given prize.

8.4 If the prize is not collected within the above-mentioned period, the right to the prize expires.

8.5 The Participant agrees to the processing of the provided personal data necessary to issue/pay out the prize by the Organizer.

8.6 In the case of a cash prize, it is taxable after exceeding the statutory value limit. They are subject to a flat-rate income tax of 10%. In this situation, the Organizer charges tax on the entire winnings.

8.7 In the case of a taxable cash prize, the Promoter will pay the entrant the amount less 10% of the winnings tax.

8.8 The Tournament Organizer undertakes to pay the eligible Participant a cash prize within 30 days of obtaining the right to it by the Participant.

9. SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY

9.1 The tournaments will be held on a facility adapted to play table tennis, with all security measures.

9.2 The Organizer is not responsible for random accidents occurring during T

9.3 The Organizer does not provide Tournament Participants with insurance of any kind, in particular life insurance, health insurance, civil liability insurance for illness, injury, death or damage, accident insurance (accident insurance) in connection with the loss that may occur in connection with the presence of and/or participation in the Tournament conducted by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA". The Organizer is not obliged to satisfy any claims for damages related thereto.

9.4 Responsibility for the health of the Player is borne by the Player himself, by signing a declaration of no contraindications to participate in the Sports Tournament, which is included in Appendix 1 to the Regulations.

9.5 The Organizer is not responsible for material losses of the Participants incurred during and on the Tournament site.

9.6 The Organizer is not responsible for any injuries and accidents during the Tournament caused by the Participant's fault and for accidents and fortuitous events.

9.7 The Organizer and all persons acting on his behalf or under his authority related to the conduct and organization of the Tournament shall not be liable for personal, property and property damages of the Participants that occur before, during or after the Tournament.

9.8 Participants bear civil liability for all damage caused by themselves, through their own fault, to other Participants of the Tournament and to third parties.

9.9 Each Participant takes part in the Tournament at his own risk. Submitting a properly completed application to the Tournament Organizer means that the Participant has considered and assessed the nature, scope and degree of risk associated with participation, including the risk of accidents, the possibility of bodily and physical injuries, as well as property damage and losses, and has voluntarily decided to take risk.

9.10 By participating in the Tournament, Participants confirm that they understand and are aware that the sporting events taking place during the Tournament are not without dangers and risks, including but not limited to serious injury, death or property damage.

10. DISTRIBUTION OF THE IMAGE

10.1 By signing the Regulations, the Tournament Participant agrees to the recording and dissemination of their image, which may be recorded during the Tournament.

10.2 The dissemination of the image may in particular consist in posting photos and videos taken during the Tournament in the public space, i.e. on the Organiser's websites and social profiles.

10.3 The consolidation and dissemination of the image will be carried out for the purposes of promoting sports activities conducted by the Organizer. The image of the Participant may be used in various forms of electronic and polygraphic processing, framing and composition, as well as juxtaposed with the images of other people. Film and sound recordings with the Participant's participation may be edited, modified and added to other materials created for the purposes of sports activities conducted by the Participant by the Organizer.

10.4 The image of the participant will not be used for purposes other than those indicated above, and its dissemination will not violate his personal rights.

10.5 The above consent will be given free of charge and may be withdrawn by the Participant at any time.

10.6 Each Tournament Participant is entitled to:



10.6.1 Use of television, video and photographic materials showing the course of the tournament, including the images of the Players.

10.6.2 Placing promotional materials of the Organizer as well as its sponsors and partners at the venue of the tournaments.

10.6.3 Using tournament symbols such as logos, emblems, slogans and names approved by the Promoter.

10.6.4 Participants, apart from prizes, are not entitled to any further gratifications, in particular remuneration for the use of the image, statements and personal data of individual Competitors.



11. INFRINGEMENTS AND PROTESTS

11.1 A Participant may protest against the announced result of a game or Tournament by submitting a protest within a maximum of one hour after the end of the Tournament. 11.2 Protests submitted after exceeding the deadline indicated in point 10.1 will not be considered.

11.3 Any cases of reported violations not included in the Regulations will be considered by the Organiser's management board.

12. REGULATIONS PENALTIES

12.1 The Player undertakes not to participate in any type of betting (not only online) involving betting on results (balls, sets, matches and other situations) in all tournaments run by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA" In addition, he undertakes to exercise due diligence to ensure that his relatives or close persons will not take part in online betting on the results of any tournament run by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA"

12.2 Participants are prohibited from using electronic devices (including smartwatches) that are capable of receiving and sending messages. This ban applies to the entire facility, including the cloakroom, toilets, corridors, games room as well as its surroundings.

12.3 Participants are obliged to immediately report any attempts to contact them by third parties who propose corruption to them.

12.4 The Participant agrees to undergo a polygraph test in the event of a reasonable suspicion that the Participant has engaged in gambling or match-fixing for financial gain in connection with a tournament organized by FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA" A positive test result will mean the imposition of a lifetime ban on the competitor from Tuniew FOUNDATION "MASTERS-OLIMPIC POLSKA"

12.5 Participants agree to refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct that could reflect badly on the referee, opponent, or jeopardise the reputation of the sport, such as:

  • Disrespect to the referee or opponent.
  • Disobeying the attention, or instructions of a referee.
  • Use of words commonly regarded as uncensorious on the premises.
  • Making any gesture commonly regarded as obscene.
  • Talking or making comments during the tournament.
  • Delaying or commenting on the game.
  • Hitting the table, wall, or floor with the racket or hand.
  • Throwing the racket on the table, floor, into the net, or court wall.
  • Removing a jersey on the court during a match, or at halftime.
  • Leaving the court without the referee's permission.

12.6 Any behaviour deemed unlawful by the referee may result in a regulations penalty as follows:

  1. Warning
  2. Yellow card 50zł
  3. Yellow card 50zł
  4. Red card 100zł

12.7 A participant may join the next tournament only after paying the penalty imposed on him/her, to the Organiser's account.

12.8 Penalties and warnings are intended to eliminate any unsportsmanlike behaviour.

13. FINAL PROVISIONS

13.1 Interpretation of the provisions of the Regulations belongs to the exclusive rights of the Organizer.

13.2 Participants declare that all personal data entered by them in the application form is complete and true.

13.3 Participants undertake to comply with the terms of the Regulations and the conditions of participation. Sending the application form confirms that the Participant has read the terms and conditions of the Rules of Participation in the Tournament and means their full acceptance.

13.4 The Participant consents to the public announcement of the results and to the public disclosure of his/her personal data in the form of name and surname.

13.5 Ignorance of these Regulations does not release the Participant from complying with the rules set out by the Tournament Organizer in the aforementioned document.

13.6 The Appendices are an integral part of the Regulations.

13.7 If any provision of the Rules and Regulations is unlawful, that provision shall become invalid without affecting the effectiveness of the remaining provisions of the Rules and Regulations.

13.8 The Regulations may be amended by the Organiser at any time. Any changes to the Rules, announcements and regulations will be made known by publishing them on the Organiser's website at https://masterspl.com.

13.9 The decisions of the Organiser and the Judges are final and cannot be appealed.

13.10 In the event of a possible dispute, the Court having jurisdiction over the Organiser's registered office shall be competent to hear the dispute.
